Like the ocean

If you keep your eyes on the shore...

I should be more like the ocean
       Deeper
       passive
       so full of life and purpose that nothing
           not the shore
           or those on the waves
       can shake the dark waters
       that breathe
           disturbed only by the rare and curious visitor
           and the giants of the heart and mind.
I should be more like the ocean.
